News Update - March 2, 2007

The next round of mediation sessions between the UEA and UMC is scheduled for March 13 and 14 in Crookston. We expect both sides will be prepared to present comprehensive proposals covering all remaining open issues during this session. Channels of communication continue to remain open between the parties during the period of time between negotiation sessions.

Up to this point, we believe a great deal of progress has been made and we remain hopeful that a final agreement can be reached in the upcoming sessions. We appreciate the patience of faculty members and the entire UMC community as we continue to work diligently through the few remaining issues.
